Hilton Garden Inn Hoffman Estates

This hotel is showing its age and needs some serious TLC. Beds are old and not comfortable. AC isn’t stable and can’t keep up. TVs in the rooms are about 26 inches and half the channels don’t work. Sink doesn’t drain, fan doesn’t work (probably because of the layer of dust covering it) Location is phenomenal, but thank goodness we only stayed one night. With so many other options in the area - look elsewhere.

We visited Illinois for a wedding, and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was nice, sheets were clean, but there was hair in the shower upon arrival; it wouldn't have been hard for the hotel staff getting the room ready to turn the water on and have the hair go down the drain (obviously we ended up doing this ourselves, but it wasn't a great moment for first impressions). Also, We requested room service after our first night, but they didn't change out the sheets, make the beds, or replenish the towels in the bathroom. However, they did do everything else (took out the trash, provided additional K-cups, etc.), so that's redeeming. Additionally, we thought we had breakfast included in the price of the room; we ate breakfast the morning after the first night, and everything was fine. But when we had breakfast on the second morning, we were handed a $16 bill. We didn't make a scene about it, but we could have sworn that breakfast was baked into the price of the room. Finally, the phone in the room wasn't operating, it wasn't capable of calling the Front Desk (if people at the hotel see this, we stayed in room 718).

Google listing here shows (free) breakfast but it’s actually roughly $15 for sub par breakfast it’s just scrambled eggs basic toast cheap sausage Patty. You can have a better breakfast at McDonald’s for cheaper. so on top of the false advertising the TV is very outdated and out only has 40 channels and the room is relatively small. The lobby is decorated nicely and gym and pool did not give me any issues. Staff is also very friendly but when checking in just gave me my key card and provided no information. 10 minute drive go to dawg park for the best hot dogs in the area and enjoy live music next door at the park Second floor has laundry for $1 in coins per use of machine. Beds and pillows are comfy at least to my standards and A/C in room is extremely efficient so it’s not all bad.

The staff is very rude. My fire alarm did not work in my room during my stay we had to fire drills that I was not aware of. If it would’ve been a real fire, I would’ve burnt up in the room because no one comes around to knock at your door to make sure you got out I told the staff about the alarm not working in my room they dismissed me The second night I was there. We had another fire alarm. I finally went down to the desk and had to create a big fuss to get them to at least move me to another room. The customer safety should always be first and foremost at any hotel for staff at this location was very unprofessional. I will never stay at this establishment again. I thought Hilton had a good brand name but with staff like this, it won’t be that way for long.
